Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing & Firefighting) Building Services Engineer
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ₦300 - ₦450k

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting designs to ensure effectiveness,
efficiency, and compliance with standards.
• Develop plans, details, specifications, and cost estimates for plumbing, heating,
ventilating, air conditioning, and general piping systems.
• Analyze mechanical and plumbing engineering challenges and provide practical,
innovative solutions.
• Prepare and review costings (quotations, tenders, and B.O.Qs) for mechanical and
plumbing systems as required.
• Provide MEP budget/cost estimates and viability appraisals for various projects.
• Conduct value engineering exercises on proposed designs and costs to optimize
performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize the latest 2D and 3D modelling software to design HVAC and plumbing
systems.
• Review contractor shop drawings to ensure compliance with design intent, tender
drawings, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with structural and electrical engineers to ensure the proper coordination
of mechanical shop drawings.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional engineering certifications (e.g., COREN, NSE, NIMECH) are an added
advantage.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
Skills and Attributes:
• Highly self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to
problem-solving.
• Action-oriented with a professional presence and high energy.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building
practices, and high-performance design.
• Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptable, and client-focused.
• Solid understanding of MEP construction and subcontracting processes.
