Position Title: Trade Marketing Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Type: Full-time



Role Overview

The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive brand visibility, product availability, and sales growth across Traditional Trade (TT), Modern Trade (MT), and e-commerce channels. This role requires strong collaboration with sales, brand, and distribution teams to ensure that trade initiatives align with overall business objectives.



Core Responsibilities

1. Channel Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement trade marketing strategies tailored to TT, MT, and e-commerce.

Ensure consistent brand visibility through effective POS materials, displays, and activations.

2. Promotions & Campaigns

Design and execute trade promotions such as discounts, bundles, loyalty programs, and activations.

Partner with sales teams to ensure seamless execution and track ROI on initiatives.

3. Market Intelligence

Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and in-store visibility.

Collect field insights and provide recommendations to management on product positioning and opportunities.

4. Budget & ROI Management

Develop and manage trade marketing budgets.

Evaluate performance of campaigns and optimize spend based on ROI analysis.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with brand managers, sales teams, distributors, and key retailers.

Ensure trade marketing activities are aligned with brand and business goals.



Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in trade marketing, field marketing, or sales (FMCG or Cosmetics sector preferred).

Strong people management skills with the ability to lead field teams, agents, and third-party vendors.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently across different states.

Excellent communication, reporting, and project coordination skills.

Highly adaptable, solution-oriented, and results-driven.
